WHAT MACHINES DO YOU HAVE AT WATER JET MIDLANDS?
We have 2 Waterjet Sweden machines, with bed sizes of 4m x 2m and 2.7m x 1.5m
We also have a Bystronic machine with a bed size of 3m x 1.5m
All 3 machines have double nozzle cutting heads – maximising efficiency and reducing costs
WHAT SIZE LENGTH CAN YOU CUT UP TO?
Using a single nozzle – the maximum length cut is 3m.
WHAT MATERIAL CAN YOU WATERJET CUT?
Our Waterjets can cut any material with the exception of toughened glass.
WHAT THICKNESS MATERIAL CAN YOU CUT?
The machines are capable of cutting up to 200mm thick stainless steel.
WHAT TOLERANCES CAN WATER JETTING HOLD?
Depending on the thickness and type of material tolerances can be held up to 0.2mm
WHAT FINISH DO YOU GET?
Waterjet cutting gives an excellent finish not usually requiring further machining. We have deburring equipment to remove any small burrs that may sometimes occur (depending on the material), giving you a burr free finished part.
WHY CHOOSE WATER JETTING OVER LASER CUTTING?
As water jetting is a cold cutting process there is no heat damage or hardened edges. Additionally water jetting doesn’t create stresses in the material that can happen with laser cutting. We can also cut reflective material.
Laser cutting is limited to the size of thickness it can cut – giving water jetting an advantage.
DO YOU PROVIDE SAMPLE CUTS?
Yes we provide a free sample cutting service within reason

Usually a drawing would be required in dxf or dwg formats. From this we can nest your parts as economically as possible therefore saving you money on unnecessary material wastage.
We aim to provide your quote back to you within 2 hours of your enquiry – sooner if possible.
WHAT LEAD TIMES DO YOU OFFER?
Depending on quantity of parts required our average turnaround is 2-3 days from receipt of material.
DO YOU DO ONE OFFS?
Yes we are happy to do one off parts and equally are fully geared up to do lengthy production runs
